CHAPTER FIFTEEN: Intellectually Impatient

This post examines the struggle Probationer Disciples have with truly developing discernment in the mind. Often this comes about as a rebellion against the mind’s lower functions that they are beginning to see and evolve beyond. This can cause them to reject the mind and its uses altogether causing them to slip further into glamour making them seemingly regress, instead of progressing, on the spiritual path.

New Chapters on Soul Evolution Coming Soon

If you have been following this blog you have noticed I have stopped writing for some time. This has been for a few reasons.  As I have gotten to this point in my research in regards to soul development I ran across some information in the Ageless Wisdom teachings that stressed the need to be familiar with the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (which I am) and the teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita, (which I was not). CHAPTER FOURTEEN: Problems of Guidance – Channeling & Psychic Powers

This post continues looking at what Bailey calls the “Problems of Guidance” that especially Probationer Disciples struggle with. This first post on the topic looks at the “problems of guidance” in general, and then focuses mainly on the problems that come in regards to living people.

CHAPTER TEN: Mystical Orientation

This post further examines Bailey’s  Probationary Path as it applies to the 6th Subplane of the Mental Plane. The post goes into the problems the Probationer experiences when the emphasis is too concerned with mystical state experiences of a lower nature. The four problems of devitalization, delusion, delirium and detachment (in the worst sense of the word) that Bailey mentions are especially talked about.

CHAPTER ELEVEN: Devotion & Idealism

This chapter continues to look at the spiritual tasks that are part of Bailey’s  Probationary Path as it applies to the 6th Subplane of the Mental Plane. The post explores the initial relationship the Probationer has with devotion and idealism and some of the pros and cons in regards to both.

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR: The Initiation Process

This post continues to explain what initiation is as described by Alice Bailey, but it also compares her ideas to those found in more traditional Theosophy (Helena Blavatsky, Annie Besant, Charles Leadbeater), and also looks at parallels to the initiation process as found in the Integral model by Ken Wilber.

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: Initiation Defined

This post starts the process of explaining the First Initiation as described by Alice Bailey by first taking time to explain what initiation is as an expansion of consciousness and how it is connected to enlightenment experiences.
