Levels – Indigo and Group 9/10

The final post doing a brief comparison of the Alice Bailey/Wisdom levels with those of Integral/Wilber.

1/4/2020 UPDATE. According to the stats on my site, this is a popular and well visited post. However, this post is now very old. (Written four years ago). My thoughts have evolved substantially along these lines and the charts I have put together here have been updated many times. If you want to know where I really stand on all of this please click on the tab above that says Becoming Soul and get more familiar with what has evolved since then. I will say briefly that Integral’s Indigo now connects to Bailey’s Group 7  Her groups 8, 9, 10 go well beyond what Integral says about Indigo. Want to learn more about the correlations between Integral and Bailey’s model? Check out my book The Spiritual Human.

Have comments, questions, suggestions?  They will be posted so long as they are civil and expand the discussion.

Namaste,

Lisa

Levels – Turquoise and Group 8/9

Continuing to compare the Alice Bailey/Wisdom levels with those of Integral/Wilber. Here we are moving on to Group Nine in the Bailey model and the Turquoise level in Integral.

So far I have been comparing the Integral levels to a small part of the Bailey system starting with her 10 Groups of Human Development. As we go from Bailey’s Group 8 to Group 9 to Group 10, other aspects of psycho-spiritual development (known as the ACLRIF formula, the stages of Integration, and the stages of Initiation) need to be added in and accounted for, which in these brief posts I cannot address without creating greater confusion.  Sticking with the 10 Groups only then, I will attempt to make some correlations between Integral’s Turquoise and the Bailey Groups 8 and 9.

Levels – Red and Group 3

This post moves on to compare the Alice Bailey/Wisdom levels and those of Integral/Wilber taking us into what Integral calls Red and compares it with Bailey’s Group Three.

As a reminder in Esoteric Psychology II, pp. 203 – 207, 10 groups of evolving humanity are presented. Now, I will draw parallels between the third level in Integral known as Red and Group Three talked about in the Alice Bailey model. Note: these parallels will be very brief.

Again let’s look at the Integral Map to orient ourselves.

Levels – Magenta & Group 2

This post continues the series of comparisons between the Alice Bailey/Wisdom levels and those of Integral/Wilber taking us into what Integral calls Magenta and compares it with Bailey’s Group Two.

As mentioned before Alice Bailey lists 10 Groups of human beings in her book Esoteric Psychology, II (written in the 1930’s but completed and copyrighted in 1942).  These groups are extremely close to what is written about in the Integral community making me wonder if what is written about in Integral is even inspired at some point by what she taught.  In this post we will compare what is said about Group Two and the Magenta Integral level.

Levels – Infrared and Group 1

This post was originally created seven years ago. Information on Alice Bailey’s Group 1 (that we are now calling Infant Humanity) and how it relates to the Integral system by Ken Wilber has now been turned into a short video and a 56 page book! States

Following are brief thoughts about parallels between Ageless Wisdom and the Wilber/Integral model related to “states of consciousness.”

Integral/Wilber Model

States of consciousness can be divided into three general categories.

  1. Waking (Gross body)
  2. Sleeping (Subtle body)
  3. Deep Dreamless Sleep  (Causal body).

Everyone, regardless of your stage of development goes through these three stages whenever we fall asleep and wake up.  We have various experiences (or states of experience) when we are in the waking state and in the gross body through the use of the five senses and are in the Alpha brain wave patterns.  Daydreaming means we are still in the gross body, so even though we are in Beta brain wave patterns, these dream-like experiences are still related to waking states.
